Exit Through The Thrift Shop is een fotoproject van Linda Radosinska. Zoals de titel al verraadt is het project geïnspireerd door de kunstenaar Bansky.
Ze maakt foto’s gebaseerd op zijn bekende werken. Ze wil dat we hierdoor gaan nadenken over de relatie tussen kunst, fotografie en de werkelijkheid.
Zoals Bansky realistische schilderingen maakt die door hun plaats in de openbare ruimte vervreemdend werken, zo maakt zij hyperrealistische foto’s als ware het reproducties van Bansky’s werk - wat ook op zichzelf ook weer vervreemdend werkt. Als trompe l’oeils zonder context.
Even to those unfamiliar with Banksy’s original paintings, the characters in the photos will be instantly recognisable, having been appropriated by Banksy from everyday life at home and on the street, as well as popular culture. http://www.lindaradosinska.com/
